Recognition through Innovation and Youth Leadership

Recognition through Innovation and Youth Leadership

Our sustainability journey is not only measured through internal milestones but also through recognition by our industry peers. In 2025, Rift Valley Roses was honoured by the Kenya Flower Council as 1st Runner-Up in two prestigious categories: Innovation and Young Growers.

The Innovation Award recognized our commitment to integrating smart technologies and forward-thinking farming practices that improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact. At Rift Valley Roses, innovation is embedded in our daily operations. From the NMC growing system, which optimizes nutrient delivery and plant health, to the use of Aquacheck monitoring systems that enable precise irrigation management, we continuously adopt technologies that allow us to grow high-quality roses while conserving water and resources.

Beyond crop production, we are also embracing digital transformation across our operations. Key processes such as procurement management system, real-time performance management system in the packhouse and internal audit systems have been automated, improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability. These technologies allow us to make faster, data-driven decisions that strengthen both operational performance and governance.

Equally important to our future is the next generation of leaders shaping the floriculture sector. Our recognition in the Young Growers category reflects our commitment to nurturing youthful talent and leadership within our organization. At Rift Valley Roses, we have intentionally created opportunities for young professionals to grow into leadership roles. Today, many of our department heads, managers, assistant managers, and team leaders are under the age of 40, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and innovation to the farm.
