Efficient Effluent Management at Rift Valley Roses
Effluent Management
At Rift Valley Roses, we recognize the importance of responsible effluent management to protect local water sources and ecosystems. Effluents generated on our farm come from various sources, including the canteen, Central Spray Unit (CSU), Central Fertigation Unit (CFU), as well as PPE and car washing areas.
Working Process
To effectively manage these effluents, we have implemented an innovative hybrid wastewater treatment wetland system. This system features open ponds designed to treat and stabilize effluents using UV light from the sun, a natural and energy-efficient method for reducing contaminants. This approach minimizes environmental impact while ensuring that treated water meets safety standards before being reintroduced to the environment.
Our commitment to sustainable water management aligns with our goal of preserving natural resources and maintaining a healthy ecosystem, supporting both agricultural productivity and environmental integrity.
