With approximately 70% of the world’s fresh water consumed by agriculture, groundwater depletion and pollution are pressing global concerns. These challenges are further intensified by climate change, which causes more frequent and extreme weather events, directly affecting groundwater recharge rates and water availability.
Our Solution
At Rift Valley Roses, we are committed to sustainable water management to address these issues. Our investment in rainwater harvesting and storage infrastructure allows us to conserve groundwater and reduce our environmental impact. We capture rainwater from greenhouse rooftops and surface runoff, storing it in eight large reservoirs with a combined capacity of 350,000 cubic meters. This system provides a sustainable water source that supports our agricultural needs while preserving critical water resources for the community and future generations.
